Ed Sihler receives USCG Commendation with Fond Farewell

MCSC gives a fond farewell to Edward Sihler, MCSC's Scientific Systems Administrator, as he will be departing MCSC to work in Michigan in the coming month. Being an exceptionally knowledgeable, open-minded, and driven leader, Ed had an unforgettable impact on the students and faculty of MCSC. We wish Ed the best in his endeavours in Michigan.

Before his departure, the United States Coast Guard acknowledged Edward for his great impact, presenting him with their Public Service Commendation:

"Mr. Edward Sihler was awarded the United States Coast Guard Public Service Commendation for his unwavering commitment and exceptional support of the United States Coast Guard Sector Northern New England Captain of the Port from September 2012 to August 2017. As the Technical Director of the University of Southern Maine Cyber Security Cluster Mr. Sihler demonstrated his steadfast willingness and dedication to join forces with Coast Guard Sector Northern New England to develop a stream of innovative Cyber Security training and awareness programs. Cyber Security Working Group, and the Port Security Grant Review Committee."
